Wilson’s wholesale Straight Flute Taps is a thread cutting tool with a straight groove. It can be divided into three types, namely ISO Straight Fluent Taps, DIN Straight Fluent Taps, and JIS Straight Fluent Taps. It mainly suitable for cutting through holes or brittle materials. Its structure is simple, easy to manufacture, and has irreplaceable advantages in specific processing scenarios.
Slot design
Straight flute structure, no spiral angle, chips are discharged along the axial direction. The chip space is relatively large, suitable for processing short chip materials such as cast iron and brass. However, in tough materials such as steel and stainless steel, chip blockage or chipping may occur due to poor chip discharge.
Cutting performance
Advantages: Good rigidity, low manufacturing cost, suitable for through-hole or shallow hole processing.
Disadvantages: High cutting resistance, frequent tool removal and chip removal are required when machining deep holes or viscous materials, otherwise it may affect the quality of the thread.
Application scenarios
Brittle materials (cast iron, hard aluminum, electric wood, etc.).
Through hole threading or use with floating clamps to reduce chip accumulation.
classification
Hand straight flute taps: single design, with a square end at the tail, suitable for manual wrenches.
Machine straight flute tap: High precision, suitable for batch processing such as drilling machines and tapping machines.
