This unique spiral tip design allows chips to be smoothly discharged forward, ensuring a smooth cutting process and avoiding blockages. The TiN or TiCN coating on the tap not only significantly extends the tool's service life, but also provides better wear resistance, and in some cases can even achieve coolant free machining.

This type of tap avoids the risk of increased torque and tool breakage caused by debris blockage in traditional straight groove taps, and is particularly suitable for deep hole machining (with a length to diameter ratio of up to 3D~3.5D). For example, in deep hole machining scenarios such as automobile engine cylinder blocks or high-speed rail axles, spiral groove design can significantly improve machining efficiency and stability. These taps are suitable for various materials such as steel, stainless steel, and non-ferrous metals, and are particularly suitable for use in processing environments with high production requirements.

1. TiN coating: basic protection and general performance
The TiN coating is golden yellow in color and deposited through PVD process, with a hardness of about 2000HV, which can increase the life of the tap by 2-3 times. Its low friction coefficient reduces cutting resistance and is suitable for conventional materials such as aluminum alloy and low carbon steel.
2. TiCN coating: wear-resistant and adhesive resistant
The TiCN coating has a hardness of 3000HV and appears blue gray, combining high hardness and anti bonding properties, making it particularly suitable for processing easily adhesive cutting materials such as stainless steel and titanium alloys. In the tapping process of high-speed rail axles (material hardness 50-60HRC), the lifespan of TiCN coated taps is 1.6 times longer than that of ordinary taps.
